Show Your Work by Austin Kleon
So I knew about this Austin Kleon’s book from Ali Abdaal Youtube channel , and really curious about it, so I decided to purchased it from Kindle.
This book enlighten me about the importance of showing our work (thru chosen media) and don’t overthink it. I’d like to share some key take out that really inspires me below :
🎁 Think process Not Product. The work you can show not always have to be a final product, it can be a product in progress too, or even how you make the product (the process)
🤌🏽 Share something small everyday. It can be what you learn that day (it's really hardddd for me)
📖 Tell good Story. Tell a good story is the key our work is noticed. A good story (Don Miller) : is a character who wants something and overcame a great obstacle to achieve it.
💥 Don’t turn into human spam. Give an added value to other people. Always think about what other people can learn from this, they may be in the same journey as you, and may face the same difficulties.
🙋🏽♀️ Connect with other people. Don’t be afraid to reach out to other people. You can share what inspires you, and what you particularly enjoy from other’s works.

So what makes me like this book, you ask?
1st I really dig its spirit to emphasize that we all a learner here and just want to be better at what we do, that’s why we should Show our work, to get feedback, so then we can improve.
2nd I really like the writing style. Each points is elaborated in short/medium article or case, therefore it’s easy to understand and not too boring that makes you forget what it’s talking about.
